Captain: Kimon Vellos
Although Greek by birth, Captain Kimon is a citizen of the world... Born in Athens in 1945, he completed his basic and marine studies in Greece and the U.K. and then started his career at sea... On the job since 1974, Captain Kimon proudly declares he’s practically sailed everywhere in the world! Kimon is experienced on almost all types of ships and yachts, holds all necessary certificates and diplomas and still attends all relevant seminars every year.
Happy father of three and grandfather of two girls, Captain Kimon enjoys sailing, diving, fishing and making air-fix models (ships, aircrafts). He’s been onboard “Troia” since she was launched in 2002 and looks forward to crossing the Atlantic with her!
Engineer: Panayotis Heraclides
Panayotis was born in 1982 Holds an Hellenic Ministry of Merchant Marine approved engineering diploma and all certificates related to fire fighting, first aid and resque at sea cources. He has a lot of experience, gained on passenger ships and bulk carriers. Panayotis speaks English and loves to drive speed boats.
Steward: Manolis Karantzis
Our steward was born in the island Santorini in the Cyclades in 1948 and started his career early, at the age of 18. He got his steward certificate at the age of 24 and has extensive experience on first class cruise ships and yachts, such as the Americaniis, the Atlantis, Stella Solaris and the Azur, to name a few.
Manolis has attended fire fighting, first aid and resque courses at the National Marine Academy, speaks very good English and Italian and he will attend to your every need with a smile!
Chef: Ntaoutis Vasilis
Vasilis is 55 years old. He has gained his extensive experience on board some of the best luxury yachts in Greece, and used to be the chief chef of Sun Lines as well. He will tailor-make meals to your preferences, as well as pastries. Vassilis specializes in traditional Greek and French cuisines.
Deckhand: Zoes Shizas
Zoes was born in 1982 He holds a Captain class C certificate from the Hellenic Ministry of Merchant Marine, skipper and speedboat licenses. Zoes speaks English and some French and holds all the necessary salvage at sea and fire fighting certificates. He’ll always be happy to assist Troia’s guests with the tender and sea toys.
The captain and crewmembers of “Troia” have attended all the updated Marine Academy courses, including anti-terrorism and crisis management seminars.
